🌷 November at Squirrel & Sparrow Bookstore: Turning Dreams Into Reality
November arrived with a gentle sense of momentum.
Instead of slowing down, the month seemed to stretch outward - full of movement, possibility, and that unmistakable feeling of things beginning to bloom. Here at Squirrel & Sparrow, November felt like a threshold month, where plans took root and started pushing their way into the light.
📚 New on Our Shelves
We were over the moon this month to welcome an incredible line-up of books and authors that have just landed at Squirrel & Sparrow:
The Midnight Rose by Catalina Paris
The Flames of Darkness by La Kayshal
Bain Rock by J. Cabral-Jackson
Testify by Natasha Rose
Fight For Me (Book 2 of The Queen series) by Em J Bakker
Rise of the Phoenix by award-winning author Brendan Arnold
Each arrival brought its own spark of magic - from dragons and wanderers, to fierce protectors and rising heroes - and we’ve loved seeing these stories find new hands and eager hearts.
✨ Little Treasures for Readers
November wasn’t just about books - it was about the small, joyful details that make reading feel like a celebration:
Brand new metal bookmarks - sturdy, beautifully made, and perfect for every kind of reader
Rhinestone dragon brooches - a flash of sparkle for jackets, bags, or reading nooks
A new candle range by Scented Pages - handmade, custom scents that feel like storytime in a jar.
These are the thoughtful touches we adore - the kind that invite lingering, gifting, and cosy reading moments.✨
🏡 A Big Step Forward
One of the most exciting moments of the month was a big announcement we’ve been quietly working toward:
Squirrel & Sparrow is opening a physical store in December 2025.
November was the month this dream stepped out of the realm of “one day” and into intention. What began online is growing into something you’ll be able to walk into, wander through, and make your own.
💛 Looking Back, Moving Forward
November wasn’t calm or predictable - but it was full of promise. It was a month of growth, of new beginnings, and of trusting the direction we’re heading, even when the path is still unfolding.
If we have learned anything, it’s this: none of this exists in isolation.
To our authors - thank you for trusting us with your stories.
To our customers - thank you for choosing indie, choosing local, choosing magic.
To our community - thank you for cheering us on, sharing our posts, sending messages of encouragement, and believing in this little bookshop with big dreams.
